Luis Ángel Orduña Gutiérrez is an audiovisual artist based in Mexico City. He studied music composition at the “Academia de Arte de Florencia” in Mexico City. He is known for his work in experimental electronic music with the project “Ranura Vacía” and as a guitarist in the experimental jazz project “Antiánima.”

Driven by his passion for electronic music, Luis studied Ableton, Mixing and Mastering, and received private music production lessons. He also taught himself Tidal cycles, a live coding musical language.

In 2019, Luis began exploring visual creation, learning software like Blender, TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena, and Hydra.

He showcased “Antiánima” on the TV channel “Calle 11” in 2021 and performed at venues like “Fundación Sebastián” in Mexico City. He performed at the “Jazzahead!” festival in Bremen, Germany, in April 2024.

With “Ranura Vacía,” he released an EP in 2022, blending glitch, breakcore, ambient, and noise genres. This EP, with visuals he created, was well-received at the “LPM” festival in Münster, Germany. He collaborated with poets like Ruy Perea on video poems showcased at festivals in Mexico City.

Luis also played electric guitar with “Big Band GAM” from 2022 to 2023, performing around 100 free concerts annually and participating in the “LA NAO” festival in Acapulco, Guerrero, in 2022.

Luis is dedicated to blending music and visuals, creating immersive experiences that captivate audiences.
